These little guys are really easy to make. They taste fresh and they’re nice and healthy!
The only skill you need to make these is the ability to wrap salad inside a tortilla. There are pictures to help you learn this skill!
Here’s what you need to make Quick Salad Snack Wraps:
- 1/4 green pepper
- 1/8 white onion
- 1/2 Roma tomato
- A few slices of pickled jalapeno if desired
- A chunk of fresh iceberg lettuce
- A bit of cheddar cheese
- A bit of your favorite salad dressing (I use Caesar salad dressing)
- Salt/pepper to taste
- 3 x 6″ tortilla wraps
Here’s how to make them:
1. Cut the green pepper, onion, and tomato into thin slices.
2. Shred the lettuce and put it in a good salad-sized bowl.
3. Grate some cheddar cheese and add it in with the lettuce.
4. Add some of your favorite salad dressing in with the lettuce and cheese.
5. Add salt and pepper if you want! I always add pepper because I love it, but I never add salt. Food tastes good enough without it!
6. Stir up the lettuce, cheese, and dressing until it’s well-mixed.
7. Put the three tortillas on a plate and put them in the microwave for 15 seconds to warm them up a bit. It makes them a lot easier to roll and it also gives your wraps a nice warm feeling.
8. Take one of the tortillas and put some of the salad on it just like in the picture below. You want to leave a couple of inches on all but one side. The bare space in the picture below is the part of the wrap that’s going to get all folded up.
9. Gently place a few slices of the fresh veggies on top of the salad on the tortilla.
10. Roll up the tortilla following the steps below:
11. Repeat with the other two tortillas. Enjoy!
